From Working Woman to Stay At Home Mom!?

Hello all! Shaniqua here, and I am officially a stay at home mom. I'll admit, this is quite an adjustment for me. I have been home for a couple of months but I recently accepted a job offer. Well, turns out that I would just be working to pay for child care and that makes no sense at all. So although I have been home awhile, now it is official. I love spending time with my little people, of course. But I have to get used to not going to work.

Anyway, I have my little genius Kaylin, who is five years old now. He reads, can add and subtract, and is just very bright in general. He makes us very proud :). He's also quite the entertainer as you can see!

Then we have my little mini me Imani who is one. She is hilarious and such a little diva already. Kaylin is her best friend, but she is not a people person at all.

Me? Well I have a few hobbies. I love baking, reading, and I love anything that has to do with hair. These days I spend a lot of time at the library with the littles, mainly to meet other moms (we recently moved to the area) and to give them something to do. Besides, Kaylin goes through six books in two days so it makes sense to be here lol. They have a lot of activities at our branch. On Tuesday mornings they do story time and a play group for infants and toddlers, Wednesdays they do after school art and bedtime stories, and on Thursdays they do musical story time. I'm sure there is more but these are the things I currently attend. I try to keep them busy, so I'm planning to join the YMCA next week. Kaylin already does karate on Tuesdays and I think I want to get him into swimming classes as well. 

That's all for now, I just wanted to do a brief introduction. There will be more, much, much more (insert evil laugh). Mainly about what I'm cooking, what I've gotten myself into with the children, and plenty of my randomness :).
